Sleigh rides are offered at hotels, inns, farms and stables throughout the state, from the heart of the White Mountains to the Lakes and Monadnock Regions. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway at a cozy bed and breakfast or want to take the whole family out for the day, there’s a sleigh ride waiting for you. Cozy up underneath warm blankets, drink hot chocolate with the kids or sip champagne with that special someone, and enjoy a tour through the sparkling winter landscape as bells jingle all the way.
Note: Sleigh rides generally begin in January, but check each individual inn, hotel, farm or stables for an exact start date as it can depend on snow and other weather conditions. You should always call or check the website before you go to make sure lack of snow or inclement weather haven’t canceled rides. Many locations offer private rides that can be scheduled by calling the provided phone number.

This Candia farm offers a variety of horse and sleigh ride packages, including their twenty-passenger logging sled that features two seating sections of 10, two-person romantic sleigh rides, meadowbrook sleighs, vis-a-vis sleighs and special New Year’s and Valentine’s Day rides.

Coppal House’s draft horses will take you on a relaxing private sleigh ride through the 78-acre property. Bring your own blanket to snuggle underneath as you ride through fields and woods around the picturesque farm. Considering omitting a sleigh ride if there’s not enough snow? No problem. A wagon is substituted when there’s insufficient snow.

As long as there’s snow on the ground you can take a one-horse drawn or Austrian (two horses) sleigh ride through the countryside. All rides are approximately 30 minutes long, with options ranging from a private one-horse for two to groups of up to 15.
Cost
- Group Rides: Their custom-made Austrian sleighs hold up to 15 people. Tickets are sold per person with no reserved seating. In the event that there’s insufficient snow, they offer wheeled rides. Adults (ages 13+): $25. Children (ages 3 to 12): $20.00. Infants (ages 2 & under): Free
- Private Group Sleigh: A completely private ride for groups up to eight people for $275, and nine to 12 people for $350. Children 2 & under free (don’t count toward eight people).
- Semi-Private Winter Romance Seat for Couples: A cozy option for couples. Reserve the back seat of the Austrian group sleigh with a complimentary choice of champagne or hot cider. Not fully private; there can be up to eight people in the front seats of the sleigh. Costs $95.
- Private Sleigh for Couples: Completely private ride for two, three or four people. Comes with a complimentary choice of champagne or hot cider. Groups of two cost $150, groups of three cost $175 and groups of four cost $200 total.

Silver Ranch Stables offers sleigh rides whenever there’s sufficient snow. Silver Ranch Stables offers year-round hayrides when there’s an insufficient snow level. Rides generally last 45 minutes to an hour.
Cost
- Two wagons or sleighs require a 25-person minimum, and wagons hold approximately 20 people while sleighs hold approximately 15 people. Pricing varies, call for customized quote.
