After you finish skating, safely warm up at Igloo Italia while sipping on a delicious martini.

We get it. You’ve loved getting to projects that have been on your to-do list for years, tackling that pile of books that have been gathering dust and spending time with your family (and maybe playing Monopoly one too many times), but cabin fever is starting to kick in. We’ve been inside for the better part of this year, and while we enjoy sitting by the fire and watching “The Queen’s Gambit,” we also wouldn’t mind an opportunity to get some fresh air.

Enter Tuscan Market and Tuscan Kitchen’s Winter Giardino. The Tuscan Brands team has recreated Trentino, Italy’s coldest city, by setting up a winter garden with outdoor skating and igloo dining complete with a fire pit lounge for you and your family to enjoy throughout this winter.

If you are looking for a high-quality skating experience that makes you feel like you just stepped onto the ice at TD Garden, head to 63 Main St. in Salem. The outdoor skating rink features premium Sniper’s Edge Hockey synthetic ice and COVID-19 friendly policies so you can skate safely. Masks are required when you are not seated, and the rink will be closely monitored for strict limited capacity on ice. If you forget your skates, you can rent a pair onsite. If you would prefer to watch from afar, relax at one of the socially distant spectator areas with a hot beverage in hand. Make sure to skate by on Sundays when admission proceeds are donated to local charities.

If you are looking for a warmer place to chill, send the kids to the rink and hang out in a cozy and decorated igloo. The Al Fresco dining experience seats up to six people, where you can indulge in menu items like a 38 oz. ribeye and sip on your favorite martini. A full Tuscan Kitchen menu and Igloo Italia specialties are available. Each igloo is sanitized between each use and has its own HEPA air purifier and heater for maximum comfort and safety. Before you leave (each igloo has a two hour time limit), be sure to check out the festive 30-foot Christmas tree.

More Information:

Admission for the skating rink can be purchased day-of at the skating rink gift card booth. Every Wednesday, kids 10 and under skate for free. Adult residents of Salem can enjoy skating for $8. TSR in Salem is renting skates for $5 at the booth next to the gift card/admission booth, if guests don’t have their own. Don’t forget to bring your mask so you can skate!
