Why do you love what you do? “As for the work I do, I am mainly a criminal defense lawyer that also does civil rights cases. I feel like this work allows me to do three things that I find valuable all at the same time. First, it represents a constant intellectual challenge. Second, it allows me to push back on a criminal justice system in dire need of reform. And finally, it allows me to serve others. People come to me at the lowest point in their lives, and helping them dig out and rebuild is enormously satisfying.”
