Hit The Road (or Trail) with NH Run Clubs
Looking to join a run club? Look no further than this list of some of NH's most popular ones!
SIX03 is a team of fun, healthy and athletic people who share a passion for the outdoors and the social community. Their members range from people looking to run their first 5K to National Ironman finishers. They focus on wanting a team for every sport and promoting camaraderie, encouraging fitness, enhancing training and increasing knowledge through group runs, meet-ups and special events. Their races range from the Sunapee Scramble to the Loon Mountain Race and Great Pumpkin Trail Relay in Lee. Weekly pub runs are a great opportunity to run either their 3- or 5-mile loops at your own pace and finish with drinks and appetizers at a local brewery. Running and socializing? Greater Derry Track Club
Formed in 1978, this track club is a nonprofit charitable organization that promotes running and supporting their local community. Over the years, they’ve grown to become a fun run club hosting several annual races, an in-person Couch to 5K program, kids summer fun runs, track workouts and more. When you can’t find them hitting the pavement or trails, you can find them giving back to their community through volunteering, charitable giving and wherever their help is needed. No matter what your running experience is, you’re “part of the club.” Still need convincing? Check out their blog for club stories told by their members like Bob and Maureen Knepp, whose legacy spans 54 marathons, brewery runs and hiking 1,500 miles of the Appalachian Trail. gdtc.org
