Roost.World with Pond Halo & DJ Non-Prophet
Nov. 11, 5 p.m.
The Loading Dock
35 Mill Street, Suite D, Littleton
Are you ready to boogie down to some electronic and synth dancepop? Roost is like finding an old pair of rollerblades in the closet… tossing ‘em on and boogyin’ on downtown to the laundromat, next to the graveyard, to pick up your clothes you forgot the other day. Then on a joyous afternoon ride home you spot Eugene at the ‘ole full-service gas station and stop to smoke a few smokes and talk about things that just don’t matter. Pond Halo brings a beat driven improvisational take on some of the stranger corners of the monoculture, and DJ Non-Prophet has heard the stories, and now he’s preparing to to leave this universe in search of the super-penultimate rhythm of life, love, and peace. The essential rhythms found percolating up through mento and ska, simmered down with a blend of rocksteady and roots, burst through the atmosphere with the power of a thousand rocket engines as they are created and distributed through the powerful dub delivery system. Rockers, rude boys, lovers, and steppers rejoice together in this demonstration of the force that will power DJ Non-Prophet’s inter-reality quest. Channel your energy on the dance floor, and help fuel this ship!
