The Park Theatre Presents “It’s A Wonderful Life”

Live radio play of the holiday classic debuts December 18

A Wonderful Life Poster 04dec2020405pmThe classic 1946 Frank Capra film “It’s a Wonderful Life,” reimagined as a 1940s radio production by playwright Joe Landry, is ready to transport virtual audiences to Bedford Falls this holiday season.

“It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” retells the beloved story of idealistic George Bailey as he examines his life on a fateful Christmas Eve. The performance will be presented live online, Friday, December 8 at 7 p.m. Encore taped performances will be available on-demand beginning December 24.

The play features well-known actors from New Hampshire and beyond, including: Brian Doser, Kathy Manfre, Katelyn Manfre, Ken Sheldon (aka “Fred Marple”) and Michael Dix Thomas. John Manning brings the iconic George Bailey to life, and Jocelyn Duford plays his loving wife Mary. River Street Theatre fans will remember John and Jocelyn from their remarkable performances in Jack Neary’s “First Night.”

New York stage/TV/film actor and Peterborough Players’ alum Lisa Bostnar directs this heart-felt production boasting a stellar cast.
