In 1912, approximately 23,000 mill workers in Lawrence, Massachusetts, went on strike following a cut in pay by factory owners. Dr. Robert Forrant will present a history of the famous Bread & Roses strike, which impacted the fair labor movement on a national scale. Dr. Forrant is a professor of History at UMASS Lowell and specializes in the history of labor and industry.
