Heritage Farm Pancake House
Run by a family who dresses in period costumes, this place is as off-the-beaten-track as you can find. The restaurant is on the grounds of the family farm and sugar house in the hills of Sanbornton. Robie's Country Store
This historic spot was closed for a few years before it was saved by donations from local friends and companies and organized as a non-profit corporation. Leasees Dave and Debbie keep the place historic and added a café that looks like it had been there all along. Now, in addition to Republican politics, you can get downhome cooking, including buttermilk pancakes, crêpes and the largest hungrymantype breakfast around.
