The Tuckaway Tavern and Butchery

The Tuckaway Tavern and Butchery has come to the rescue of the rambling, former Yankee Farmer building in Raymond. The exterior is still red, but the interior has been totally revamped to accommodate a full-service meat market with a specialty food section, produce and to-go section with a small café and a full-scale tavern with spacious bar.

The tavern section opened recently and serves up everything from Angus burger meat ground fresh hourly to Porterhouse steaks to lobster rolls made from fresh-picked lobsters.

The butcher shop has a huge deli case filled with marinated meats, house-made sausage and seasoned burger patties. Chicken and fresh lobsters are also available. In addition, specialty foods are sourced locally or are regional and organic including BBQ sauces and regional beers.

With a separate entrance is the produce section that will feature vegetables and fruits from local farms as they become available. A small café offers coffees from Boston's Best with a special Tuckaway blend.
