The Revamped Wild Rover Pub
A slight facelift and new chef in the kitchen gives a familiar favorite an updated feel
The Wild Rover recently introduced a new menu created by Chef Tom Puskarich that pays homage to its Irish heritage while adding a modern flavor. The menu features classic Irish favorites like shepherd’s pie (shown here), bangers and mash and fish ‘n chips. New items include the ultimate burger — veal, bison and beef patty topped with aged cheddar, bacon and a fried egg on a brioche roll, Asian nachos, macadamia nut chicken fries and gouda-stuffed tater tots, a few with a heavy nod to Tom’s much-beloved former Z Restaurant on Elm Street.
Expanded bourbon, whiskey and beer offerings have been added, all served in a revamped cozy pub environment patrons have enjoyed for 24 years.
The updated menu is available Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting at 3 p.m., and Thursdays and Fridays at 11:30 a.m. A new breakfast menu featuring a traditional Irish breakfast, pancakes, egg dishes and $3 Bloody Marys is available Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
