Root and Snap are two herbaceous botanical liqueurs produced by Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction based in Pennsylvannia. Owner, Steven Grasse, is on a mission to restore originality to all things mass produced. His boutique and gallery, and more recently his Tamworth Lyceum storefront in Tamworth, where he summers, are alive with possibilities. More than just stores, the spaces encourage discussion, philosophy and, of course, good coffee.

Root and snap are also joined by Rhuby as 80-proof artisan liqueurs made from organic ingredients. Snap features flavors coaxed from blackstrap molasses and ginger root. Whether neat, on the rocks or softened with soda or beer, Snap is an homage to molasses cookies and all the fond memories they may conjure. ($33.99, 750 ml)
