Red Sauce Ristorante has moved from Commercial Street in Manchester to Amherst Street in Nashua. “We hope to have more visibility here on busy Amherst Street," says owner Bill Ceccherini.
The space was the former Junkyard, a dark and gloomy nightclub. Ceccherini has exposed previously covered windows and brightened the décor with warm yellows. The large U-shaped bar remains and happy hour specials will help fill the seats. The upstairs lounge has yet to find a purpose and is closed for the time being.
The restaurant had served traditional Italian American food based on family recipes. With a new executive chef, the menu will take a turn for the lighter — more interesting salads, plus entrée items featuring fresh fish and a lighter touch in the sauté pan.
