MT's Local Kitchen and Wine Bar
New name, same great tastes with a local emphasis
Chef Michael Buckley is in his 18th year at MT's on Main Street. Some say his opening of Michael Timothy's Bistro and Wine Bar was the start of revitalizing the downtown Nashua area.
The name change for the bistro to MT's Local Kitchen and Wine Bar was a decision based on the economy and restaurant trends. Buckley had always used local produce during the summer, but now he is making a larger commitment to find quality local suppliers.
The newest menu at MT's is the work of his top chefs and it features a modern take on General Gao using freshly hulled lobster, steak atop frites with pesto and a vegetarian gnocchi with root vegetables.
What hasn't changed are the pizzas. The grilled pizzas here are memorable. Also, if you miss the white tablecloth dining, the section on the right has been preserved and you can enjoy your favorite filet mignon there.
In addition to the menu, a lively specials board features creative takes on locally sourced dining from soups to desserts. The popular Sunday Brunch is now limited to special Sundays with the next being Easter Sunday on March 31 and Mother's Day on May 12.
