Happy Birthday, Redhook

Redhook Brewery, one of America’s first craft breweries, was established in Seattle and later traveled across the country to New Hampshire’s seacoast. This year marks Redhook’s 30th birthday, and the year-long celebration is under way with special events, its spiffy new short-neck bottles and, of course, great beer.If you find yourself at Redhook’s Cataqua Pub (pub and brewery pictured) or at one of the handful of beer-centric bars and restaurants that are lucky enough to have it, try the Extra Special Birthday Beer (ESBB), one of the Brewery Backyard creations. These limited-run brews are the products of the brewers’ ideas and experiments outside of the traditional Redhook lineup. Also available this fall is the seasonal Late Harvest, an easy-drinking yet robust and full-bodied beer that’s rich in flavor. Unlike the more limited Backyard brews, the Late Harvest is available in grocery stores and on draught at bars that serve Redhook. Also, see our video interview with brewer Andy Schwartz.New Hampshire Breweries MapView New Hampshire Breweries in a larger map
