Fall Cocktail Recipe With Cabin Fever Maple Flavored Whiskey
A apple cider and Cabin Fever Maple Whiskey cocktail - hot or cold - that's perfect for fall.
Granite Stater Rob Robillard was inspired by friends and family to distill whisky with the taste of the New Hampshire woods back in 2007. Lobster pots welded together was a humble beginning for a brand now distributed nationwide.
After being a smash hit in 2011 at the Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival in Manhattan, Cabin Fever was purchased by über spirit distributor Diageo in 2012 to fortify their flavored whisky portfolio.
The signature taste is developed by an infusion of Grade B maple syrup that adds a sweet note to a spirit that can be harsh to some palates. The 80-proof drink is aged for three years to further mellow the finish. It can be enjoyed straight up. The addition of water or mixing in other ingredients slightly changes the flavor profile.
This simple recipe is the perfect drink to welcome fall.
