Affordable Fine Dining at The Quill

From being greeted by a student host to the student waitstaff to students in the kitchen, it’s all about learning the industry while offering fine dining to the public at The Quill at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester.

Second-year students work feverishly in the kitchen along with their instructors to produce a rather ambitious menu with several options. The prix-fixe dinner ($28) includes dessert. A trendy bar is part of the scene, and student bartenders design and mix cocktails along with making wine recommendations.

Dining options for dinner service in October include classical French on Oct. 1; Eastern European on Oct 8; Classical French on Oct. 15; Near and Middle East on Oct. 22; Oktoberfest on Oct. 28 and Classical French on Oct. 29. Doors open at 5 p.m. and service starts at 6 p.m. Check their website for other dinner times through December. Lunch is served on Tuesdays and Fridays until the end of the semester. Be sure to check the schedule before heading out.
