Yankee Fisherman's Cooperative

You drive over the narrow causeway connecting New Hampshire and Massachusetts and on both sides of the road you see the sparkling white caps of the ocean rolling under the small drawbridge. Looking into the port beyond the small sand dunes, you see a scene that has existed for nearly 400 years: local fisherman, surrounded by hungry gulls in flight, unloading the day's catch from their boats.

The Yankee Fisherman's Cooperative, in beautiful Seabrook Harbor on Rte. 1A assists in this tradition by offering the freshest daily catches from

their 60 plus members of ground fishermen. All boats leave in the morning and return to port each day to offer NH-caught lobster, haddock, cod, pollock, Jonah crab, scallops, squid, flounder and shrimp, when in season. All seafood is caught in local waters, unloaded at the back of the Cooperative and filleted right there in their facility. It is then offered for retail purchase in their simple but spotless storefront; from the Gulf of Maine to boat to the retail case in a matter of hours.

The Yankee Fisherman's Co-op is open 7 days a week year-round. You can call ahead to assure your special seafood requests, such as larger hard-shell lobsters or more unusual species like monkfish, are fulfilled. They also sell wholesale to local restaurants and attend the winter farmers markets sponsored by Seacoast Harvest/ Seacoast Eat Local.
