Redhook Brewery's Pumpkin Porter

This fall you can carve your pumpkin and drink it too. As part of their seasonal backyard series, Redhook Brewery has crafted what they think is the perfect beer for football, turkey and all the best that fall has to offer.

Pumpkin Porter is a dark chestnut brown beer, full of those traditional fall flavors and spices – cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and, of course, pumpkin. The richly roasted brew is made with caramel malts and even maple syrup, which is added during fermentation.

Redhook has played with pumpkin beer in the past, solely in-house, so this is the first time the brewery is offering the unique beer in a wider setting. Just in time to take the chill out of that autumn air, you can already find Pumpkin Porter at Redhook's Cataqua Pub in Portsmouth and bars and restaurants across the state and around New England.
