The Cooper Door Restaurant in Bedford
Enter through the copper door into the soaring space of the Copper Door Restaurant in Bedford. A double-faced fireplace, huge bar, communal tables, intimate Roost area and carefully segmented dining spots in the larger room make for exciting, yet intimate, upscale, but casual dining.
The menu is extensive, with everything from snacks for nibbling to interesting soups and salads to serious cuts of beef like the New York Strip shown here ($39). There is a separate menu for lunch and the bar. The wine selection is fabulous and offers about 140 labels. They won Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2013 and 2014.
Every day seems to be a holiday here. Mondays offer Copper Club members 50 percent off select bottles of wine plus double points. Tuesdays is Burgers & Brews with $8 slider burgers and $4 brews. Wednesday is for bourbon lovers with bourbon bacon-wrapped beef tips ($14), Pardner Punch with Duke Bourbon, hint of Peach Schnapps and splash of orange juice and sour mix ($10). Thursday Tunes brings acoustic music from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sandy’s Spritzer Sunday offers live music from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and pitchers of spritzers for $15 along with their signature stone-oven pizzas.
