The Best of NH Party

New Hampshire Magazine’s Best of New Hampshire Party features food and drink from 60 of the state’s “Best” restaurants and businesses, plus music from the “Best” bands. One ticket buys the whole night of fun. And it’s for a good cause – to raise money for the New Hampshire Food Bank!Think of it as the biggest (indoor) blockparty you’ve ever been to, packed with delicious food and desserts from the state’s top restaurants, drinks, entertainment and more.Take a look at photos from last year’s party, or click here for a video tour by N.H. comedian Jimmy Dunn. You can also read over the 2009 Readers’ Poll winners and Editor’s Picks to get a sense of who might make an appearance. The results of the Readers’ Poll and all the Editor’s Picks will be revealed in the July issue of New Hampshire Magazine and at the party, but here’s a sneak peek: Don’t fill up before you try some of the great desserts, including cake from Frederick’s Pastries, tarts from Jacques Fine European Pastries, brownies from Sinful Squares, pies from The Pie Guy and cupcakes from Wild Orchid Baking Co. Speaking of dinner, you’ll find everything from Indian, Japanese, Italian, Mexican and German cuisine to different types of pizza, buffalo wings, soups, chowders and much, much more!In addition to the huge variety of food, the Best of NH Party includes some amazing entertainers. This year the Compaq Big Band is back as our headliner. They’ve delighted partygoers in the past, and are sure to have you dancing the night away! You’ll also have a chance to see the Super Secret Project, the group behind the hilarious parody video and song “Granite State of Mind.”If that’s not enough entertainment for you, UNH’s all-male a cappella group Not Too Sharp, Concord band JamAntics and the Manchester-based West African drumming and dancing group the Akwaaba Ensemble will all perform throughout the evening in various locations.
