A hijacked airliner is turned into a tool of vengeance by an Iraqi man whose parents died as collateral damage in the bombing of a Baghdad hospital.

Comments by the Vice President of the United States, justifying war and its casualties, have enraged the man and aggravated his grief, so she becomes the object of his obsession, and her daughter becomes his target.

What follows is a high-altitude, high-stakes conflict that appears to be carrying the characters to a tragic end.
The tension is leavened by a touching love story with two people coming together in circumstances that aren’t exactly conducive to romance. Then again, maybe they are.
