Get Fleeced
You won’t get into trouble with the fur police with these fleece and faux hats and jackets by Leslie Kane of Intervale.
Kane, who works under the label Leslie David, designs and stitches women’s skirts and jackets — some tailored in brocade — and a fleece line shown here. Her pieces are designed with comfort in mind, but darts and tucks help slim the silhouette. Size ranges include small/medium and medium/large. Petite and extra large sizes are available by request.
Her latest creation adds a band of faux feathers on fleece hats for a head-turning effect that is snuggly warm. The Leslie David line also includes velvet burn-out scarves with bead embellishments.
Kane has been designing women’s clothing for close to 30 years. She has a degree in fashion design, but it is the love of fabric that drives her patterns. On trips down to NYC she finds some fabrics irresistible, saying, “I can’t leave without them. Once I am home, they speak to me and I know immediately how to use them.” She creates lines with seasonally appropriate fabrics for summer/spring and winter/fall.
