Garrison City Beerworks Now Open in Dover
Garrison City Beerworks, now open in Dover, features its hip new hops and killer hand crafted beers.
Located in Dover, Garrison City Beerworks is a small brewery and tasting room that takes craft beer and home brewing to a whole new level. Recently opened in December by Gabe Rogers and Mike Nadeau, the brewery and tasting room focuses on quality over quantity with its unique and original beers. Along with its hop forward beers they brew Pale Ales, Porters, Belgian Ales, Wild Ales and 100 percent Brettanomyces – just to name a few. Garrison City is hoping their customers will enjoy adding some hip new hop into their lives and come back for more.
Gabe Rogers and Mike Nadeau share a wild passion for beer and the brewing process. Rogers is the head brewer with culinary roots and certification as a beer judge, making him a connoisseur of how beer should taste. With over 17 years of financial operations experience and a passion for craft beers, Nadeau is a great fit as CEO of Garrison City. He wants to break the boundaries of hop forward beers and work together with Rogers to create spectacular masterpieces.
The 100 percent Brettanomyces beer series is likely new to most. Rogers became interested in Brett beers in his early brewing years and has continued to find inspiration in them and all their different flavors. Brett is a type of “wild” yeast that is known for its funky, out-of-the-ordinary taste. It slowly works with other yeasts to transform the beer into something unique and even a bit bizarre – in the best way possible. The team is excited to bring Brett beers to New Hampshire and have locals fall in love with it just as much as they did.
Another unique addition to the Beerworks is New Hampshire's very first Crowler machine from Oskar Blues Brewery. A Crowler is a 32oz can that is filled and seamed right in front of customers in the tasting room. The Crowler helps keep beer fresher for a longer period of time in the most sanitary way without altering the taste of its contents.
For a small brewery, Garrison City Beerworks is taking big and bold flavor to a whole new level. It takes pride in its original, handcrafted beer that pushes the boundaries of taste and craftsmanship. Locals are lucky to have such a gem near them that truly embodies originality, passion and, of course, great beer!
