Chick Anery Fight Club Charity Bout

The ManchVegas Roller Girls (MVRG), Manchester’s official hometown roller derby team, presents its third home bout of the 2010 season – The Chick Anery Fight Club Charity Bout. This bout pits two of the MVRG home teams against each other – the Pandora Pinups and the Stark Raving Lunachicks. Those in attendance will also be treated to a performance by local Manchester band The Broadcasters.

The Chick Anery Fight Club was created in September of 2009 in order to help raise awareness for Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH). MVRG skater Chick Anery is afflicted with this very rare blood disorder, and at times it has certainly interfered with her quality of life. There is little in the way of effective therapy for this disease and absolutely no cure. The ManchVegas Roller Girls are committed to PNH awareness and contributing to the research. Proceeds from the bout will benefit PNH research and the Chick Anery Fight Club. Donations can also be made the website.

The Chick Anery Fight Club Charity bout is special in that members of the MVRG league will be skating against each other. It will be a bout to remember!

Advance ticket purchase is recommended.

Local beer, wine and food will be available for purchase. Those in attendance are invited to stay and join the teams for the on-site after party with a D.J. and dancing.
