Celtic Crossroads – March 19

The critically acclaimed Irish music show Celtic Crossroads will perform a fusion of traditional Irish music, bluegrass, gypsy and jazz in a return engagement at the Capitol Center for the Arts Thursday, March 19 at 7:30 p.m.

Celtic Crossroads is revitalizing the image of traditional Irish music around the world, and will tour the United States for the second time in 2009. With their seven world-class musicians playing 22 traditional and non-traditional instruments, Celtic Crossroads goes right to the heart of Irish music and its rhythm.

Celtic Crossroads also features Marianne Knight, who is known as one of Ireland’s greatest assets in Irish traditional song; Lindsay Moynagh on harp, flute, accordion and whistle; Richard Neylon on Uilleann pipes, whistles, drums and flute; Johnny Berrill on the guitar; Diarmaid Hurley on the bodhran, cajon, mandolin and bouzouki; and David Neylon, brother of Richard Neylon, plays the piano accordion, mandolin and the instrument he is well-known for, the banjo.
