Bring your appetite and camera to Pickity Place
We think it's one of the most delightful places to lunch in New Hampshire
One of the most delightful places to lunch in New Hampshire is Pickity Place in Mason. It’s part history museum (with connections to the 1948 version of Little Red Riding Hood), garden of wonder and lovely resource for herbs and country-style gift shopping. That’s in addition to the five-course lunch served tucked inside the historical rooms of a 1786 antique cape. Each of the three seatings, 11:30 a.m., 12:45 p.m. and 2 p.m. offer appetizers to desserts that are seasonally inspired and change each month. Plated dishes are garnished with flowers and herbs from their culinary gardens that are part of the view.
This storybook dining spot would make a perfect place to take mom for Mother's Day.
The May 2017 menu has options such as spring chive vegetable chowder, grilled asparagus farmer's cheese turnover, a spring mint quina and more. After lunch, enjoy their greenhouse, stroll the gorgeous grounds and pick up herbs for your own garden. Enjoy the ride out too. The setting is pure rural New Hampshire and the perfect place to entertain visitors. Don’t forget the camera.
Can't make it in May? Don't worry, each month's menu is more delicious looking than the last. Check out monthly menus here.
