What happens on ski slopes in the summer? In the past the answer often was: Nothing. Not so now.

For the fourth summer, Mount Sunapee Resort is offering scads to do. Its Adventure Park has a full menu of activities: a 2 1/2-hour canopy zipline tour (you can race side by side the last 1,000 feet), an aerial challenge course (eight unique challenges in each of four loops), off-road Segway excursions (on wooded trails and open slopes), 18-hole championship disc golf course (winds through the woods down the mountainside), an 18-hole miniature golf course (you can play under the lights) and chairlift rides to the top of South Peak.

One newer feature that debuted last year — you can launch yourself into a 50' x 50' airbag from a ramp covered with an artificial snow surface. Your choice of skis, snowboard or snow tube.

“Visitors can have a getaway with the family, fun challenges and the same beautiful scenery they get skiing,” says Bruce McCloy, Mount Sunapee director of marketing.

“There are activities for all ages and all levels of bravado.”

The park is open through Labor Day. Click here for more information.
