Mother’s Day Fragrance

Calming and Refreshing! In a blind smell test, our staff compared four N.H. lavender aromatherapy mists that would work perfectly as a Mother’s Day gift. Here’s what they thought. Stolat OrganicsThe mist from Stolat Organics has a strong (but not too strong) soapy and lavender scent. It’s meant to be used as either a body or linen spray, though most staff members said they would prefer to use it for the latter purpose, since this was one of the two longer-lasting mists.

And the Winner Is…Fields of AmbrosiaLight but fragrant, this mist has a lovely floral scent with hints of soap. Delicate enough to spray on your skin without overpowering those around you, but strong enough to freshen a room in a noticeable way. An all-around refreshing, calming smell.

Jenness FarmThe body mist from Jenness Farm has a delicate floral — and all lavender — scent without the soap undertones of the previous two sprays. Like the Stolat version, the mist from Jenness was long-lasting but not overpowering.
