The Mayo Bowl has enabled Boston’s inner city children to receive exceptional care without exception from Boston Medical Center. Each year, the Mayo Bowl sells out all 20 bowling lanes, attracts well over 400 event attendees and reaches over 4.2 million individuals through social media. This year, Patriots Super Bowl champion and running back James White is continuing the Mayo Bowl tradition after having co-hosted with Jerod in 2017. He is marking a new era for the event, which he has renamed Sweet Feet for Strikes. James and his wife Diana are excited to continue to raise funds for BMC that was set forth by Jerod & Chantel Mayo. James strongly believes that he has the ability to make a significant impact on the lives of children who are in need of medical support. In 2018, Sweet Feet for Strikes raised over $268k and over the course of the past nine years has generated $2.5 million.
“We will provide consistently excellent and accessible health services to all in need of care regardless of status or ability to pay – exceptional care, without exception. Our core purpose is the single unifying objective that drives our culture, activities and strategy – this internal benchmark sets the tone for our growth and a successful future. Our Vision 2030 is an important single long term goal (10-30 years), which will require rigorous innovative work with our community, with our patients and with each other.”
