Feel like going out this Christmas? Several inns, grand hotels and restaurants around the state offer gourmet meals leading up to and on Christmas and Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve Dinner
Dine next to blazing fireplaces amid gorgeous decorations at this historic inn. Enjoy a three-course prix-fixe dinner from 4:30 to 8:30, followed by a dessert buffet. Price per person (not including tax and gratuity) is $79 for adults and $39 for children ages 10 and under. More details here.

The Inn at East Hill Farm

Christmas at the Farm on December 17
Running from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the day is filled with activities such as pony grooming, edible ornament decorating, lunch buffet, face painting, campfire s'mores and more. Reservations are required. Price per person, including lunch, tax and tip, is $25 for adults and $20 for children. More details here.

Christmas Day Dinner Buffet
In addition to a two-night stay Christmas Present package (featuring amenities like water park admission and cookie decorating), the Red Jacket Mountain View Resort offers a dinner buffet on December 25 from 2 to 7 p.m. Diners can enjoy lobster bisque, haddock with orange hollandaise, baked ham and filet mignon carving stations, and a dessert table filled with pies, cakes and specialty creations. Christmas Day Dinner
In addition to serving their standard full dinner menu from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Stonehurst Manor offers a special Christmas menu from 2 to 8 p.m. on Christmas Day. In addition to salad and seasonal desserts, choose from five delectable appetizers, nine entrées including grilled veal chops and maple-brined turkey, and a five-item children's menu. Christmas Parties
Stonehurst can also take the pressure off for your holiday party planning, with special menus available for holiday parties of 6 or more. A three-course menu with choices like prime rib and cranberry ginger glazed duckling costs $24 per person, with additional hors d'oeuvres available for $4 per person. Prelude to Christmas Package
Spend a weekend in the land of Robert Frost at this romantic inn. Available any weekend between Thanksgiving and Christmas, visitors can shop, drive the scenic Kancamagus Highway, sip hot chocolate (or cognac) by the fire, enjoy fine dining, take a horse-drawn sleigh ride or just generally relax and soak up holiday cheer. The two-night minimum stay also lets you cut your own tree at the Rocks Estate and enjoy a horse-drawn wagon ride. More information here.

Christmas Package

This holiday lodging and dining deal includes two nights lodging, four-course dinner for two one evening, festive Christmas dinner for two on Christmas Day, breakfast for two each morning and a Christmas tree in your room. Served from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Two-Fifty Market is the restaurant at the Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel. Starters include award-winning clam chowder, roasted beet salad and cream of butternut soup. The Christmas menu is $32 per person, $20 for children ages 3-12 and an alternative kid-friendly menu is available for $10. Main include bronzed sea scallops, pan roasted Atlantic salmon, roasted half chicken, porcini dusted filet mignon and more. Dinner is $55 per person or dinner with a wine pairing is $80. Served from 4-8:30 p.m.
