Description

The newly opened Hotel Concord, the city’s first downtown boutique hotel, is partnering with local businesses and organization to present a new weekend Winter Fest event packed with winter-themed events.

Throughout the weekend of January 25-27, visitors can enjoy a wide range of indoor and outdoor events in the city of Concord. Events include an ice sculpture competition, family activities, cornhole competition, visit from a surprise NHL player, winter shopping stroll and warm-up stations serving hot chocolate, hot cider and s’mores throughout the weekend.

The festival is held in conjunction with the Black Pond Ice Hockey Tournament, which draws men and women’s pond hockey teams from throughout the region for a weekend of outdoor games and food truck refreshments in Concord parks, as well as the Winter Fling and Dancing with the Concord Stars, a popular night of dancing and live music to benefit New Hampshire Technical Institute student scholarships and educational programs.

O Steaks & Seafood, which guests can access through the Hotel Concord lobby, will be serving a variety of specialty drinks from four themed ice bars with an ice luge on the patio from 4-10 p.m. Prizes will be given away every 30 minutes throughout the evening. Those wearing hockey team jerseys from the Black Pond Ice Hockey Tournament get free admission Friday night.
