Being a lumberjack is about more than just chopping wood – it takes impressive skill and technique (no beard or plaid required). On Saturday, September 29, guests of the Anheuser-Busch Merrimack Brewery and Tour Center can witness real life lumberjacks compete in 12 grueling competitions at the Buschhhhh Lumberjack Championship.
Guests can witness more than 70 athletes from the US and Canada go head-to-head in 12 events, including axe-throwing, sawing and chopping. While spectating, guests can enjoy food trucks and of course, for those 21 and older, an ice cold Anheuser-Busch beer.
The event was brought to the area by the Merrimack Chamber of Commerce and is open to guests of all ages. Tickets can be purchased at MerrimackChamber.org. Children 13 years of age and younger can attend for free.
While at the brewery, guests can explore the art of brewing with a complimentary tour or upgrade to one of the exclusive tour offerings, including private group tours and Beermaster tours. Each experience includes free beer samples for guests 21 and older. The gift shop will also be open for guests who would like to commemorate their experience.
