A Cure for the Blahs: The Orchid ShowWednesday, February 1, 2012 This year it's called "Parade of Orchids" and takes place at the 21st Annual Orchid Show at the Radisson Hotel from Feb. 10-12. "It's a great winter escape and a great Valentine's weekend date," says Mike Mattozzi, president of the N.H. Orchid Society, sponsor of the event. "There are thousands of orchids of all different shapes and colors." Many of them are for sale. And yes, it's possible to keep them blooming. Mattozzi has orchids that bloom year after year, some that bloom constantly. He and the others at the show can advise you on how to do it (humidity is key). For more information visit nhorchids.org.
