There from Here

There from Here CD coverOnce upon a time you really couldn't get there from here. If "there" was success in the music business, you had to move to L.A. or at least hang out in the Boston scene. But with the formula — heck, the very definition — for success getting lost in the mix, "here" is as good a place as any to take your stand.

Here are 12 artists, who aren't exactly household names but who we think could be. It's an eclectic bunch ranging from country to alternative to blues. The main things they have in common is New Hampshire roots and sky's-the-limit talent.

We've selected one song from each from their most recent CDs and compiled them into the kind of album that we'd like to have along for the ride on a trip to just about anywhere. You can download your own copy or just listen online.

Consider it an early Christmas present.

This "virtual CD" can be yours with nothing more than a blank disc and a few clicks of the mouse. You are welcome to pick and choose and select individual tracks from those below but we recommend you download the whole batch for your listening pleasure.

You can also download a PDF with the cover and liner notes, suitable to slip into an empty jewel case to make the package complete.
