Get Jammin'

Sweet and fruity! In a blind taste test, our staff compared three N.H. gourmet blueberry jams from around the state. Here's what they thought.

Amelia Maes & Co.

This month's winner!

All of the jams were delicious, but staff members were intrigued by the less sweet and slightly spicy jam from Amelia Maes & Co. With a touch of cinnamon, it's almost like eating a blueberry pie. If you're craving something a bit different to jazz up your breakfast, give this jam a try. With its looser consistancy it would also be perfect on ice cream.

Fennelly Farms

The thickest of the three jams, this would the ideal one to spread liberally on toast, muffins or scones - and you'll want to pile it on! Beyond the traditional flavors, Fennelly Farms offered some intriguing combinations including Gingered Pear and Pineapple Cherry jams that we're itching to sample.

Laurel Hill Jams & Jellies

Sue Stretch makes great jams and jellies and this Wicked Good Blueberry Jam is no exception. It's sweet, but not overly so with that great native blueberry flavor. If you're looking for a classic New England blueberry jam, look no further than Laurel Hill. Also, look beyond the fruit jams and jellies - Laurel Hill also offers a wide variety of wine jellies.
