Rich in Variety! In a blind taste test, our staff compared four N.H. maréchal foch wines. Here’s what they had to say.

Sweet Baby Vineyard

Sweet Baby Vineyard is relatively new to the scene. Begun in 2008 by Lewis and Stacey Eaton, they’ve quickly established an impressive repertoire of fruit and grape wines. The maréchal foch is light-bodied, semi-dry and has a slight hint of fruitiness. This wine should appeal to a wide variety of red wine lovers.

Jewell Towne Vineyards

The maréchal foch from Jewell Towne Vineyards was also a staff favorite. Those who love wines with a stronger fruit taste will enjoy this one. This slightly sweet full-bodied wine would be perfect with spicy food. Jewell Towne also offers a maréchal foch private reserve, which is full bodied with hints of spice, raspberry and black pepper.

Flag Hill Winery and Distillery

The Flag Hill maréchal foch was the wine with the most bite. Those who enjoy dryer red wines with a bold taste will enjoy this wine. If you’re sitting down to a meal of steak, this is the wine to pick.

LaBelle Winery

LaBelle Winery adds blueberries to its maréchal foch, obviously giving it the strongest fruit flavor of the four wines. The Granite State Red is wine made from the maréchal foch with 20 percent blueberry wine, giving it a rich taste that is neither too sweet or too tart. If you’re looking for a unique red wine, this is an excellent choice.
