Smuttynose Winter Ale is a seasonal brew that is available from late fall through February.

This winter cozy up by the fire with a blanket and a bottle of Smuttynose Winter Ale. Brewed at Smuttynose Brewing Company in Portsmouth, this ale is a slightly creamy amber beer that is brewed with a special ingredient, Trappist ale yeast. It tastes and smells fruity while being balanced by Crystal hops.

To get your hands on one of these warm and mellow but flavorful winter beverages, you can buy six-packs at Market Basket and various independent beer carriers from late October until February. If you'd rather have a refreshing glass on tap, grab some friends and take a trip to Smuttynose Brewing Company in Portsmouth. While you're there, you might as well take a trip to Smuttynose's sister company, the Portsmouth Brewery, where you'll find their Winter Weizen, a great holiday treat.
