Summers are a great time to enjoy creative and fresh foods and share them with friends. Unfortunately, classic summer meals are often served with plain light beer. Choosing craft beer to complement your meals can bring your food to new heights.

Try some of these N.H. craft beers at your next outdoor adventure:

Smuttynose Brewing Company - Old Brown Dog
Though not light in color, this brown ale is very easy to drink. It would complement anything on the grill such as a burger or rack of ribs. The maltier flavors can also bring out the smoke in grilled vegetables.

Moat Mountain Smokehouse and Brewing Company - Iron Mike Pale Ale
Iron Mike Pale Ale is an IPA with strong flavors that can stand up to spicy foods. Iron Mike would work just as well with Mexican dishes as it would with Buffalo wings. The beer is available in cans, which can also travel to places that glass containers are not allowed.

Woodstock Inn & Brewery - White Mountain Weasel Wheat
The White Mountain Weasel Wheat is sweet without being overwhelming, and light in color and body, giving it a lot of versatility to go with summer's lighter foods. Only available in the summer, look for this beer to pair well with steamed clams or salad greens.
