Boynton's Taproom has opened at 155 Dow St. in Manchester's Millyard in the same building as Fratello's, but with a separate entrance. The beautiful third floor space was a training facility for bartenders some 10 years ago, but it has been unoccupied for the last several. Now, a state-of-the-art sound system has been added, and the room will be open as a comedy and entertainment facility serving tapas-style food and a good selection of wine and beer. Fantastic Fortunes has moved to Rollinsford from Maine. They have created a line of cookies that are shaped like fortune cookies, but dipped in dark, milk or white chocolate and topped off with more chocolate, colorful candy sprinkles, sliced almonds or crunchy toffee pieces. The Seedling Caf' in Nashua has been sold by Josh and Danielle Enright, and they have purchased the former French Bistro space in Milford. Their new restaurant will be called the Rustic Leaf Bistro with a motto of 'From Seed to Table.' A monthly Farmers' Table will showcase local growers. They have expanded the dining area and plam tohave the venue open for lunch, dinner and brunch in early December.

December 1: Wentworth by the Sea Hotel and Spa in New Castle makes a festive occasion of turning on the tiny white lights that outline the hotel's Victorian towers. A free family event from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m, that features strolling carolers, a horse-drawn carriage with Santa, the Portsmouth High School Marching Band Ensemble, glittering ice sculptures, costumed members of the Great Bay Ballet "An 1836 Portsmouth Nutcracker" cast and complimentary holiday refreshments.
December 5: Seacoast Eat Local Winter Market will be hosted at Wentworth Greenhouses at 141 Rollins Rd. in Rollinsford, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

December 5: Harney & Sons Tea Tasting and Inns Tour from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. will feature John Harney, owner of Harney & Sons Teas, along with son Mike, signing books and sharing their wonderful teas. Enjoy a self-guided holiday tour of area inns, each serving six different Harney tea blends along with a light snack. Highland Lake Inn is one of the participants. A portion of the proceeds benefits the NH Food Bank. Purchase of a lodging package will guarantee you tickets to the event.
