Events and trick-or-treating times for kids and families




The following list, which is in alphabetical order by town, includes information on family-friendly events hosted by towns and businesses and scheduled trick-or-treating. Allenstown

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. The Fire Department will be handing out glow sticks to kids. The Police Department will host the annual Open House, providing candy and other treats for those who stop by.

Alton

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.

Ashland

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

Atkinson

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 at 6 p.m.

Auburn

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Sunday, October 27 from 1 p.m.-4 p.m.

Barrington

October 26 – Trunk-or-Treat 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.
A safe and fun way for families to celebrate Halloween. Children can trick-or-treat by going from trunk to trunk. A fun “Best Dressed Car” contest will also be held. Click here for more information. Held in the town gym.

Bedford

October 26 – Halloween Spooktacular 4:30 p.m.
Held at the Bedford Village Common Park. Kids 8 years old and under are invited to participate in Halloween activities and refreshments, a concert, flashlight candy hunt and more. Click here for more information.

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.

Brookline

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

Candia

Chester

Concord

October 25 – Halloween Howl in Downtown Concord 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
A safe and fun celebration for the whole community that includes trick-or-treating at downtown businesses, horse-drawn carriage rides, a costume parade, Ghost Dinner Band live in Bicentennial Square, a climbing wall, photo booth and much more. Free event. Click here for more information.

Danville

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

Deerfield

October 27 – Halloween Tailgate Trick-or-Treat Bash 1 p.m.
Held at the Deerfield Fairgrounds. The event includes a costume parade, trick-or-treat, music and more. Free.

Deering

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m.

Derry

October 26 – Trick-or-treating 12 p.m.-3 p.m.
Derry Parks and Recreation Department will offer trick-or-treating at participating businesses throughout the downtown area. Trick-or-treating will also take place form 12 .m.-1 p.m. on East and West Broadway, from 1 p.m.-2 p.m. on Crystal Ave. and from 2 p.m.-3 p.m. at Hood Commons. Pick up your free bag at the Derry Public Library or the Recreation Office. The bags will include a list and map of participating businesses. Click here for more information.

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30 from 4 p.m.-7 p.m.

Farmington

October 31 – Halloween Parade 3:30 p.m. and trick-or-treating from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.

Francestown

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

Franklin

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 5 p.m.-8 p.m.

Fremont

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30 from 5 p.m.-8 p.m.

Gilford

October 25 and 31 – Annual Halloween Happening Party 6 p.m.-8 p.m. and Trick-or-Treating
All Gilford children in grades 6 and younger are invited to attend the Halloween party at the Gilford Middle School. Children can participate in games, crafts, costume contest, pumpkin decorating and more.

  • The Gilford Police Department has set trick-or-treating for Thursday, October 31 from 5 p.m.-8 p.m.

Goffstown

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

Hampton

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m.

Hampton Falls

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.

Hancock

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 5 p.m.-8 p.m.

Henniker

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

Hooksett

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

Hopkinton

October 26 – Halloween Holler 12 p.m.-3 p.m.
Following the costume parade at the Harold Martin School. The event includes games, face painting and a food sale.

Hudson

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

Jackson

October 31 - Sweet Street Trick-or-Treat 4 p.m.-6 p.m.
A safe trick-or-treat and block party event for families with children 13 and under. Click here for more information.

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

Kingston

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 5 p.m.-8 p.m.

Laconia

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 5 p.m.-8 p.m.

Lebanon

October 31 - Halloween Fun Fest 4 p.m.-6 p.m.
Held at Colburn Park and City Hall. Trunk-or-treat offered at Colburn Park. There will also be haunted geocaching hosted by L.L. Bean, horse-drawn carriage rides, arts and crafts, story time and more. Click here for more information.

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.

Litchfield

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

Londonderry

October 26 – Trick-or-treat on Main Street 12 p.m.-2 p.m.
Trick-or-treaters and their parents can register with RE/MAX at the Crossroads Mall during the week before the event. Call (603) 425-2400 for more information.

Loudon

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 5 p.m.-8 p.m.

Manchester

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

Meredith

October 26 – Fall Family Halloween Bash 5 p.m.-8 p.m.
This event, held in the Community Center, includes a costume contest, dancing and more. It also features arts and crafts, a climbing all, jumpy house, pumpkin bowling, pumpkin seed spitting contest and more. $5 suggested donation ($10 per family).

  • Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

Merrimack

October 25 – 21st Annual Halloween Haunted Walk 5 p.m.-8 p.m.
A family-friendly haunted walk that also features games, music, prizes, treats, refreshments and more. The Merrimack Police Department will kick off the day with free activities including games, pumpkin decorating and more. The costume contest begins at 6:30 p.m. A haunted house will be open from 5 p.m.-8 p.m.

Nashua

October 25 - Fright Night 2013 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
A free vent with haunted hayrides, scary mazes, Halloween caricaturist, candy and more. This event is meant for families with children 12 and younger. Click here for more information.

New Boston

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

Newfields

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.

New London

October 31 – Trick-or-Treat on Haunted Walk for children under 12 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
CSC Players will be in costume handing out candy. Then walk through Spring Ledge to the corn maze. Older kids can enjoy the Haunted Woods behind Old Kearsarge Middle School from 7:30 p.m.-9 p.m. Ages 12 and up.

Newton

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 5 p.m.-8 p.m.

Northfield

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 5 p.m.-8 p.m.

North Hampton

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30 from 4 p.m.-7 p.m.

Northwood

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 5 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

Nottingham

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.

Pelham

October 26 – Horribles Parade 5:30 p.m.

The Pelham Firefighters Association and Pelham Firefighers IAFF Local 4546 host their annual Spooktacular Horribles Parade. Kids of all ages are invited to march behind fire trucks. The parade gathers in the Village Green in front of the Pelham Public Library. At the end enjoy warm drinks, baked goods, food and music from a DJ. Click here for more information.

Pembroke

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 5 p.m.-8 p.m.

Penacook

October 31 – Halloween Parade from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. and trick-or-treating on Wednesday, October 30 from 5 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

Plaistow

October 31 – Toddler Trick-or-Treat 10 a.m.
Held at the Town Hall Green for children that are not elementary school age. Area businesses and Town Departments all within walking distance of the Town Hall are participating. Children should be in costume and accompanied by an adults. You must register your child before the event. October 25 – 4th Annual Zombie Walk 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
Dress up like a zombie and shamble from the Union Street parking lot to the Common where there will be refreshments, a bonfire, DJ and more. Click here for more information.

Tilton

October 25 – Trick-or-Treat Tanger Style 5:30 p.m.
Beginning at 5:30 p.m. special treats will be offered at participating stores. At 6 p.m. children 12 and under are invited to gather for a costume contest in front of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Click here for more information

Warner

Waterville Valley

October 25-26 – Valley Witch Festival
Weekend festivities include dancing with the Lakes Region Big Band at the Pemi Valley Annual Dinner and Masquerade Ball, the Mystical Extravaganza, The Spellbound Soiree with R-Rated comedic hypnotist Frank Santos, the Legendary Brewgala from 10 p.m.- 1 a.m. and children’s activities sponsored by the Waterville Valley Recreation Department in Town Square.

  • Trick-or-treating offered from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. on the Schuss Bus that will travel to the lodges and area businesses. $5. Pre-registration is recommended by calling (603) 236-4695. Click here for more information.

Weare

Trick-or-treating is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

Windham

October 19 - 9th Annual Harvest Fest at Griffen Park – 11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Windham Recreation hosts this afternoon festival beginning at 11:30 a.m. with a dog costume parade. At 1 p.m. complimentary hayrides, activities, games, crafts, face painting and more will be offered. Children are encouraged to dress up in costume for the Kiddie Costume parade that lines up at 2:50 p.m. in field C. After the parade, all are invited to participate in front of Griffen Park for trick-or-treating. Local businesses will be there to hand out treats to the kids.
