Featured Shop – Village Goldsmith Gallery, DoverNow over a year in a new location, this slender gallery is stuffed with the colorful talents of local artists including distinctive work by goldsmith (and owner) Jim Livermore. Known for custom work and intricate detail to jewelry (the signature trellis bail), Livermore has graciously given some of the spotlight over to other local artisans. Look for pottery, glass and other mediums. The lamps by potter Doug Blum are exquisite and affordable.

What's NewDe ja vu Consignment ShopLooking for a designer spring sweater for a song? Chances are good you'll find one at this Dover hot spot at 455 Central Ave. Name-brand items from J. Jill, Ann Taylor and Ralph Lauren are just a few of the lovely labels to pick from. Items being arranged by color makes shopping a lot easier. A hounds tooth blazer with leather buttons from Lord & Taylor is a steal at $15.99. (Use the money you save for a slice of pork pie from Harvey's Bakery across the street.)

Drawer knobs in all colors and styles, country primitive pieces, folk art as well as new furniture and décor will have you lingering from room to room for hours. Owner Susan Knowles has a great eye for "ooak" (one of a kind) items.

Noggin Factory!Leave your age at the door and explore the new location of Noggin Factory toy store at 53 Washington St., Dover. Kiddie-sized kitchen sets, puppet theatre stages and other classic children's toys fill this space, which includes its own play area. The cement truck that pours sand and the fire engine ladder truck that sprays water by German toymaker Bruden are sturdy and made to last. Ginormous stuffed animals all around the store tower over toddlers.
