Butcher Shop: The family-owned Mr. Steer Meats Marketplace in Londonderry has been in business for four generations. These days you can get fresh and marinated meats, fresh produce and meals ready to cook at home.

Breakfast Place: The Friendly Toast in Portsmouth makes breakfast into an experience and was picked by “Good Morning America” as one of the four best breakfasts in the U.S.A.

Delicatessen: Find great fresh sandwiches at Jerome’s Deli & Catering in Londonderry and Manchester.

Delicatessen (Regional Chain): Find just about every cut of meat — and seafood, too — at McKinnon’s Market & Super Butcher Shop in Salem.

Delicatessen (National Chain): Hannaford’s reputation for carrying fresh and local foods in so many convenient locations makes their deli counter a state favorite.

Gourmet To Go: When you need a delicious meal fast, the heat-and-serve pasta selections at Angela’s Pasta and Cheese Shop in Manchester will come to the rescue.

*Healthy Lunch: Concord’s downtown has always seemed healthy, but especially so since the Concord Co-op opened their Celery Stick Café, which provides delicious, all-natural meals and “grab and go” specialties all week long. Plenty of vegetarian and gluten-free options. Their Hot Bar is famous for a variety of seasonal treats, all cooked up by Chef Mike Cook. Try the jerk pork. And look for an expanded café once the current renovations are completed next year.

Choose from a nice selection of fresh sandwiches, soups, salads, sides, desserts and drinks all with the click of a mouse.

Pancakes: The landmark Parker’s Maple Barn in Mason makes its own syrup and offers a special pancake of the month.
