Red Carpet Awards




The Red Carpet Awards at Red River Theatres is an Academy Awards viewing party you won't want to miss. Put on your tux or fancy gown and celebrate outstanding cinema at a night filled with great food, music, movie trivia and more while watching a live telecast of the Academy Awards on the big screen.Ever held an Oscar? How about had your picture taken with one? Red Carpet Awards attendees will get just that chance on Sunday.Graciously on loan from De Rochemont Films Incorporated, their exclusive appearance in Concord is due to the efforts of Facilities Manager and Movie Guru Barry Steelman. Louis de Rochemont received a 1936 Special Award "Newsreel" Oscar for his "March of Time" newsreel series and a 1944 documentary Oscar for his film "The Fighting Lady."O Steaks and Seafood, who is hosting the first part of the evening, will provide a cash bar as well as hors d'oeuvres. Beer, wine and champagne tastings will be provided by Little Black Dress Wines, Moet and NH Distributors. Prizes and drawings will also occur throughout the evening.All proceeds from the event will benefit community and educational programming at Red River Theatres.February 27 Red River Theatres 11 S. Main St. ConcordTickets are $60 or $55 for members through February 26. Tickets are $75 or $70 for members the day of the event.6:30 p.m. Red Carpet arrivals begin. 8 p.m. Oscar Telecast begins on the big screen
