La Marca Prosecco

Prosecco as an alternative to Champagne

Consider Prosecco for holiday entertaining instead of Champagne. Dollar for dollar this Italian sparkling wine has more flavor and interest.

Prosecco is made from the white grape Glera, through the Charmat method were the grapes undergo a second fermentation in the tank and are bottled under pressure. La Marca is a delicate, well-balanced Prosecco with the flavors of baked apple, grapefruit and a light mineral texture on the palate. Prosecco is great with appetizers and also makes an excellent hostess gift.

Available at most New Hampshire Liquor and Wine Outlets for $16.99

Recipe

Add ¼ part Flag Hill Cranberry Liqueur to the bottom of a flute and top with chilled Prosecco.
Add a few pomegranate seeds and watch the “lava lamp” action as they bob up and down.
