The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF)
International is the world’s leading nonprofit, nongovernmental funder of diabetes research. The organization was founded in 1970 by parents of children with juvenile diabetes—a disease which strikes children suddenly, makes them insulin-dependent for life, and carries the persistent threat of devastating complications. JDRF’s mission: to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.
The Annual Walk to Cure Diabetes is one of the most important events of the year for the JDRF, and is the largest fundraising event for the New England Chapter. Last year we had over 200 walkers who raised more than $35,000 in Concord alone. Our goal is to increase our involvement and impact this year! We would love to have you, your family, or a “team” involved and hope you’ll join us for this fun and exciting morning! If you can’t join us, we hope you’ll support us as generously as you can.
All are welcome! Bring yourself, your family, your children, or a team for this fun and exciting event! Through your support of this event, together we will be known as the people who cured diabetes!
Registration begins at 9 AM. The Walk itself starts at 10 AM, rain or shine!
