This is a solo show by New Hampshire artist, Christine Blain. Christine enjoys capturing the beauty of the seacoast, and this exhibit showcases many of the quiet harbors and boats along the coast of Maine and New Hampshire.
Each summer, Christine takes day trips up the coast to explore and take reference photos for her paintings. Christine says, "When I travel up the coast, I love to find those narrow, less-traveled roads and am always excited when I discover a new little cove that seems untouched by time. I like to think of the hard-working fishermen and tugboat sailors and how those who carry out this legacy today are just as captivated by the sea as their forerunners were. These scenes inspire me to capture the beauty of coastal life."
Christine is a juried member of NH Artists Association and is represented by Small Wonder Gallery in Camden, Maine.
