Beaver Brook Association turned 50 this year and is inviting the public to our 34th Annual Fall Festival and Nature Art Show. Artwork by dozens of regional artists will be on display September 27th and 28th from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Maple Hill Farm at 117 Ridge Road in Hollis. The featured artist this year is Howard Muscott of Amherst. Howard Muscott has photographed landscapes and wildlife for more than 30 years.
If you are interested in displaying your work at the Fall Festival, artwork is accepted until September 22nd. All rules, details and entry forms can be accessed at www.beaverbrook.org.
The Fall Festival is the signature annual event of Beaver Brook Association. There are activities of interest to people of all ages. Ongoing activities include informative live animal presentations, nature crafts for children, demonstration on beekeeping, live music, tours of the gardens and homemade food for sale. The Maple Hill Gardeners sell original arrangements and wreaths made from the dried harvest of their gardens. They also offer dried herbs, notecards and ornaments. There will be a silent auction and raffle table filled with prizes.
Entertainment on Saturday includes Wingmasters who will present "Live Birds of Prey" from 1 p.m.-1:50 p.m. and 3 p.m.-3:50 p.m.
Entertainment on Sunday includes Eyes on Owls who will present "Owls of the World" from 1 p.m.-2 p.m. and 3 p.m.-4 p.m.
