5th Annual Blues for Beanie Festival

Date/Time

Aug 24, 2014
01:00 PM until 06:00 PM

Description

Awesome line-up includes blues greats Michelle "Evil Gal" Willson, Cheryl Arena, Ricky "King" Russell, The Ken Clark Organ Trio and Mr. Nick & the Dirty Tricks. Proceeds  will support a worthy cause.

Blues artist Nick David has organized this benefit concert for his aunt Jeannine (“Beanie”) David who was severely injured in a car accident in 2008. She’s now confined to a wheelchair and in need of full-time care.

Gates open at noon. Food, beverages and raffle prizes available. Please bring something to sit on. This will be a full afternoon of rockin' blues - and fun for all. RAIN OR SHINE!

About Beanie: Before the accident, Beanie generously served her community of Hill, NH. For years she sat on many boards such as the Franklin VNA, the Friends of the Hill Library, the Hill Historical Society and the Bread and Roses Soup Kitchen in Franklin, where she also volunteered as a cook for 18 years. Beanie was always there to help friends and neighbors in need.

Musically talented herself, Beanie once sang in local rock and country bands. She greatly inspired her nephew Nick (of Mr. Nick and the Dirty Tricks) to become a professional musician. Music has been a strong influence in her life and remains a powerful force in her recovery.
