Fields on the Saco




August 29, Conway Fields on the Saco, a fabulous localvore event, pairs the talents of Chef Bryan Alden of the Chef’s Market in North Conway, Executive Chef Brad Southwick of the White Mountain Hotel and Resort, Chef Jonathan Spak, co-owner of the Oxford House Inn and Chef Jim Harrison of the Flatbread Company with the fresh produce grown in the fields along the Saco River between Maine and New Hampshire. Each chef will be preparing a course with local products. Participating farms include Sherman Farm, Green Thumb Farms and Nerefield Farm, whose world-class border collies will give a demonstration as part of the event. Besides the gourmet four-course dinner paired with wines, there will be a vodka tasting with Cold River Vodka, guided tours of the farms, live music and a wet-art (paintings produced at the event) auction. The event concludes with a blazing bonfire. Each person attending the dinner will take home a beautiful lead wine glass by Cristal d'Arques of France and a gift bag.
